Quick answer: Google Ads cost in Pakistan has no fixed price. You set your own budget and pay only when someone clicks your ad. What each click costs depends on how many businesses bid on the same search, how good your ad and landing page are, and where you target. For a local lead generation campaign, we recommend starting with at least PKR 50,000 a month in ad spend. Your cost per lead then comes down to one sum: what you pay per click, divided by how many visitors turn into enquiries.
"How much will Google Ads cost me?" is the first question clients of our PPC services in Pakistan ask, and the honest answer is that you decide. Google does not sell ads at a set rate. You choose a budget, and an auction decides what each click costs. This guide explains what drives the price of a click, how to pick a starting Google Ads budget, and how to work out your cost per lead before you spend a rupee.
How Google Ads cost in Pakistan is calculated
Google Ads is pay per click. Showing your ad is free on Search campaigns; you are charged when someone clicks it. Every time a person searches, Google runs a quick auction among all the advertisers bidding on that search, and decides which ads show and in what order.
Your total spend is made up of three numbers you control or can measure:
- Budget. The average amount you are willing to spend per day. This is the ceiling on your bill.
- Cost per click (CPC). What you pay each time someone clicks. This is set by the auction, not by Google's price list.
- Conversion rate. The share of clicks that become a call, form or WhatsApp message. This decides how many leads your budget buys.
Ad spend is paid directly to Google, usually by card or bank transfer from your own Google Ads account. If you hire an agency, its management fee is a separate cost on top of the ad spend.
What drives cost per click in Pakistan
Two businesses can bid on similar keywords and pay very different amounts per click. According to Google's own explanation of Ad Rank, your position in the auction depends on your bid, the quality of your ad and landing page, the competition, and the context of the search. In practice, these are the factors that move the cost per click in Pakistan the most.
Competition for the keyword
The more advertisers chasing a search, the higher the price. Searches where one customer is worth a lot, such as property, study abroad, hair transplants, solar systems or B2B software, attract many bidders, so clicks cost more. Searches for low-priced products usually cost less, because advertisers cannot afford to pay much per visitor.
Ad quality and Quality Score
Google rates your keywords from 1 to 10 using a diagnostic called Quality Score. It is based on three components: expected clickthrough rate, ad relevance, and landing page experience. Ads that closely match the search and lead to a useful page tend to win better positions for less money. A generic ad sending people to your homepage usually pays more per click and converts worse.
Location targeting
Targeting all of Pakistan is very different from targeting one area of Karachi. Big cities like Karachi, Lahore and Islamabad usually have more advertisers competing, so clicks there often cost more than in smaller cities. Targeting overseas buyers, for example in the UK, US or Gulf, costs much more again, because you are bidding against advertisers in those markets.
Search intent and match type
"Dentist near me" signals someone ready to book, so advertisers pay more for it than for "how to whiten teeth at home". Broad keywords with no negative keyword list also cost more overall, because you end up paying for clicks from people who were never going to buy.
Timing and season
Prices rise when demand rises. Eid and Ramadan shopping, school and university admission seasons, and the summer months for AC and solar businesses all bring more advertisers into the auction for a few weeks.
One more thing worth knowing: your bid is the most you are willing to pay, not what you always pay. Google notes that the amount you actually pay is often less than your maximum bid.
How to find the real CPC for your keywords
Average CPC figures you see online are rarely useful, because they mix every industry and city together. You can get estimates for your own keywords for free:
- Open Keyword Planner inside your Google Ads account (under Tools).
- Choose "Get search volume and forecasts" and paste in the keywords your customers would search.
- Set the location to the city or region you actually serve.
- Look at the "Top of page bid (low range)" and "Top of page bid (high range)" columns. These show the range advertisers have paid to appear above the organic results.
Treat these as a starting estimate. Your real cost per click only becomes clear once a campaign has been running for a few weeks with proper tracking in place.
Minimum Google Ads budget in Pakistan
Google has no minimum spend. You can technically run ads for a few hundred rupees a day. The real question is how much you need to spend to get enough clicks and leads to learn what works.
For local lead generation campaigns, we usually recommend at least PKR 50,000 a month in ad spend. Below that, most campaigns collect so few clicks that it takes months to tell a good keyword from a bad one. National campaigns, competitive industries and e-commerce stores usually need more.
How daily and monthly budgets work
Google Ads asks for an average daily budget, not a monthly one. To convert, divide your monthly amount by 30.4, the average number of days in a month. A PKR 50,000 monthly budget becomes about PKR 1,645 a day.
Do not panic if one day's spend is higher than that. Google explains that a campaign can spend up to twice its average daily budget on a busy day, but over a month you will not be charged more than 30.4 times your daily budget. Quiet days balance out the busy ones.
A simple rule for setting your starting budget
A practical rule of thumb: make your daily budget at least 10 times your expected cost per click, so each campaign gets at least 10 clicks a day. If Keyword Planner suggests clicks of around PKR 150, plan for at least PKR 1,500 a day per campaign. If your budget cannot cover that across all your services, run fewer campaigns properly rather than many campaigns thinly.
How to calculate cost per lead before you spend
Cost per click tells you what traffic costs. Cost per lead tells you what a customer enquiry costs, and that is the number your business actually cares about. The formula is simple:
Cost per lead = Cost per click ÷ Conversion rate
Say your clicks cost PKR 80 and 5 out of every 100 visitors fill in your form or message you on WhatsApp. Your cost per lead is PKR 80 ÷ 0.05 = PKR 1,600. On a PKR 50,000 budget, that is 625 clicks and about 31 leads.
The table below uses the same PKR 50,000 budget and PKR 80 click to show how much your landing page matters. The figures are an example to show the maths, not average prices for any industry.
| Landing page conversion rate | Clicks (PKR 50,000 ÷ PKR 80) | Leads per month | Cost per lead |
| 2% | 625 | 12 to 13 | PKR 4,000 |
| 5% | 625 | 31 | PKR 1,600 |
| 10% | 625 | 62 to 63 | PKR 800 |
Same budget, same clicks, five times the leads. This is why we fix the landing page and tracking before we raise anyone's budget.
Work out the most you can afford to pay per lead
Before you launch, work backwards from your own numbers to find the highest cost per lead that still makes money:
- Profit per sale. If an average job is worth PKR 60,000 and your margin is 30%, you make PKR 18,000 per sale.
- Close rate. If your sales team turns 1 in 5 leads into a customer, your close rate is 20%.
- Break-even cost per lead. Multiply the two: PKR 18,000 × 20% = PKR 3,600. Paying more than this per lead loses money on the first sale.
- Break-even cost per click. Multiply your break-even cost per lead by your expected conversion rate: PKR 3,600 × 5% = PKR 180.
Now compare PKR 180 with the bid ranges in Keyword Planner. If the top of page bids for your keywords are well below that, Google Ads is likely to be profitable. If they are far above it, you need a better converting page, a higher value offer, or a different channel. Our guide on SEO vs Google Ads for Pakistani businesses helps you decide when organic search is the better bet.
If your customers come back and buy again, such as clinic patients or B2B clients, you can afford to pay more for the first lead, because each customer is worth more than one sale.
Costs beyond ad spend
Your click budget is the biggest cost, but not the only one. Plan for these too:
- Management. An agency or freelancer charges a monthly fee to build, monitor and improve campaigns. Ask whether the fee is fixed or a percentage of spend.
- Landing pages. A fast, focused page for each service usually lowers cost per lead more than any bid change.
- Conversion tracking. Setting up conversion tracking for forms, calls and WhatsApp clicks takes some time at the start, but without it neither you nor Google can tell which keywords bring leads.
- Bank and tax charges. Paying Google from Pakistan can add bank charges for foreign currency payments and applicable taxes, so check your card terms and Google invoice.
How to lower your Google Ads cost
Most accounts we audit are paying for waste that is easy to remove. These changes usually bring cost per lead down without cutting results:
- Add negative keywords. Check the search terms report every week and exclude searches like "jobs", "free", "course" or "salary" if they do not fit what you sell.
- Group keywords tightly. Keep each ad group to one service so the ad copy matches the search closely.
- Send each ad to its own page. A page about AC repair converts AC repair searches far better than your homepage does.
- Target where you deliver. If you only serve Karachi, do not pay for clicks from Peshawar.
- Use ad schedules. If nobody answers the phone at night, consider pausing call-focused ads outside working hours.
- Track every lead type. Forms, calls and WhatsApp clicks should all count, or Google will optimise for the wrong thing.
- Follow up quickly. A lead that waits a day for a reply often goes to a competitor. Fast follow-up lowers your real cost per customer.

Frequently asked questions
How much does Google Ads cost per month in Pakistan?
Google Ads cost in Pakistan is whatever you set it to. Google charges only for clicks, up to the budget you choose. For local lead generation, we recommend starting with at least PKR 50,000 a month in ad spend, plus any management fee if you work with an agency.
What is the average cost per click in Pakistan?
There is no single useful average. Cost per click depends on your industry, keywords, city and ad quality. Check the top of page bid ranges in Google Keyword Planner for your own keywords and location to get a realistic estimate.
Can I run Google Ads with PKR 500 a day?
Yes, Google has no minimum. But a very small budget may buy only a handful of clicks a day, which is not enough to learn which keywords bring leads. Use the rule of at least 10 clicks a day per campaign to check whether your budget is big enough.
Why did Google spend more than my daily budget?
Google can spend up to twice your average daily budget on a busy day, but your monthly charge will not go above 30.4 times your daily budget. Over a full month, spend evens out.
What is a good cost per lead?
A good cost per lead is any amount below your break-even point. Multiply your profit per sale by the share of leads you close. If you make PKR 18,000 per sale and close 1 in 5 leads, anything under PKR 3,600 per lead is profitable.
How long before Google Ads brings leads?
Ads can start showing within a day of approval, so the first enquiries can arrive quickly. Bringing cost per lead down usually takes a few weeks of data, search term cleanup and landing page testing.
